Networking Day in Berlin - International Youth Exchange

As part of the Erasmus+ project „Live Learning - A way to Europe for everyone!“ the Solidaritätsjugend Deutschland organizes a Networking Day for International Youth Exchange. The goal is to share information about youth requiring special funding for upcoming exchanges.

The main focus will be on the following questions: how can one create a stimulating learning environment for the target group? What is important to consider? And how can one involve said target group in the creation of the learning environment? A discussion about the Status Quo, perspectives and challenges of the youth work association will also play an important role.
An “Ideas Room” will be available to discuss future cooperation, to develop project ideas and to socialize and/or build relationships.

The researchers of the study: Doorways and Barriers of the international youth exchange, advocate for a shift of perspective from the individual to the social structure.  The difficulties in getting access, especially for so called disadvantaged students, is also an indication for “social inequality and societal power relations”. This is a matter of “distribution of goods and possibility of participation which has to be altered”.
