Generation Y & Z

Who are we talking about all the time???

As our focused group on young people within the Live Learning Project are described as the “Young Generation Y and Z” we wanted to find out more, what in particular describes them as such, what are their characteristics and differences. Is there a certain “profile”, what are their topics and issues, what their fears and hopes?

Our little project team from Clase Barcelona Language School, all from this generation themselves, approached the topic through investigating articels, disscussions and bringing the theme into an intercultural context, the classroom! Together with young spanish speaking people the project group worked on questionnaires, working on text sheets from various articles, watched movie sequences and finally invented the outcome into a beautiful collage.

The outcome was very interesting and touched various areas of live. But what was most evident: young people here in Spain are actually a bit scared about their “future work life” - they see themselves highly qualified but working in low paid jobs, not having any safe perspective in the working environment and sometimes feel lost in finding a job which they really feel they can move something, are in the right place and have enough money to live on.

So here, project “Live Learning” we GO GO GO: to work on an new approach towards young people to help them find their personal freedom, find out more about their competences and skills and motivate them for a job they love and they feel welcome & happy
